Call for Communications Presenters
The Catalyst Center for Business & Entrepreneurship and the North Alabama chapter of the Public Relations Council of Alabama (NAPRCA) has issued a call for presentations for the 2019 BIG Marketing & PR Event. The Catalyst and NAPRCA partner to nost this event annually and this year's event will be held on Tuesday, October 29, from 8:30 A.M. - 3:30 P.M. in Huntsville, Alabama.
Micro-Loan Program (BAM) Partnership to Benefit Small Businesses
The Catalyst Center for Business & Entrepreneurship is excited to announce that microloans in the amount of $5,000 to $25,000 are now available for startups, early stage businesses, and established small businesses. This new microloan program is made possible through a strategic partnership with Redstone Federal Credit Union, Neighborhood Concepts, and The Catalyst. Redstone will provide the funds, Neighborhood Concepts will make the loans, and The Catalyst will provide loan support services before and after the loan is made.
AmeriCorps VISTA Volunteers Help The Catalyst Center REACH
Newly appointed VISTA volunteers at The Catalyst Center for Business & Entrepreneurship are on board to help a small staff with a big mission: the new REACH program will include anti-poverty strategies, capacity building for new business growth, and outreach and support for rural and disadvantaged businesses. REACH stands for “Regional Economic Activities for Communicating Hope.”

CATALYST CLIENT ESSNOVA AWARDED GSA SCHEDULE 70
Stennis Space Center, MS – Birmingham, AL-based geospatial firm Essnova, a member of the Enterprise for Innovative Geospatial Solutions (EIGS) Cluster, announced the General Services Administration (GSA) has awarded the firm a 5-year 70 Schedule Contract (5/17-5/22) with over 24 labor categories. IT Schedule 70 is a Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) contract for commercial IT products/services that are available to federal agencies worldwide. It is one of the largest contracts in government used by agencies to purchase technology products and services.
