Socio-Economic Companies Showcase

Both the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) regulations and the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) require federal agencies and prime contractors to consider SBA Socio-Economic Programs (7(j) Eligible Businesses such as HUBZone, 8(a), Small Disadvantaged Businesses (SDB), Economically Disadvantaged Woman-Owned Small Businesses (EDWOSB) and other Socio-Economic businesses for set-aside and sole-source contracts.

Taking Time for Goals That Matter

A workshop designed for the Momprenuer or other entrepreneurs who need assistance on setting business goals. Take the time to determine the goals that you want to set for yourself in your business and your life, and a plan to make them happen in 2020. This workshop is going to put the “work” in “workshop.” Take the time that you are too busy to take and reflect on 2019 by answering two questions. Then, with this information, make a list of what you want to do in 2020.

SBIR*STTR SUMMIT

The Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and the Small Business Technology Transfer programs are competitive programs that encourage domestic small businesses to engage in Federal Research/Research and Development (R/R&D) that has the potential for commercialization. The SBIR/STTR market is an underutilized land of opportunity. This event is designed to help small businesses enter the market by learning from the subject matter experts who have been successful. The SBIR/STTR Summit will bring together innovators, creators and entrepreneurs from DOD to BIOTECH and all areas – Commercial, Government and Academia. This is a vehicle to bring together suppliers and buyers. The Summit will offer 2 tracks- A beginner's introduction to SBIR/STTR and an advanced track to assist businesses who already have experience in SBIR/STTRs and want to learn more and move into other phases and take opportunities to grow their businesses.
